PROJECT OVERVIEW

Scope of Work

The scope of works includes construction of facilities which cater to the requirements for a SASR “Bushy” staging camp for up to 10 x personnel sustained for periods of 14 days throughout the Kimberly dry season.

Project Outcomes

  • IPSA team provided an end product of exceptional quality within time and budgetary constraints
  • IPSA provided numerous project solutions to ensure ease of facility operation for Defence personnel utilising the remote training facilities as well as reduce future maintenance thereby adding significant value to Defence.

Value Added

  • Due to floor covering for one of the containers excluded in error by the designer, IPSA provided new flooring as a value add to Defence.
  • Furthermore, IPSA provided additional recommendation such as replacing kitchen benchtops with stainless tops, improved mechanism for tie downs (cyclone zone) all items installed at no additional cost and a significant value add to Defence.
  • Switchboard plinth height was too low, IPSA investigated the site flood levels and raised the switchboard significantly to prevent potential future damage.
  • IPSA also provided an improved release and wind up winch for the shade sail to make it easy for the sail to be removed and reinstated on each occurrence.
